Does the plot follow a "because of" or an "and then" sequence of events?
Is the ending predictable?
Are conflicts resolved (or not resolved) in a believable manner?
What tropes are being used? Are they effective? Are they unique enough to make the story compelling?
Character
Are the characters interesting?
Do the characters actions fit their personalities or are they props driving the plot?
Do their emotions fit the nature of any given action?
What arcs do your characters have?
Does a character's dialogue feel natural and consistent?
Diction
Does your voice remain consistent throughout the work?
Are you using the right connotations to evoke the subtle meanings of each scene?
Are you showing not telling?
Does your work over explain that which is obvious to the audience?
Does your work need to make information clearer?
Do your sentences rightly shed focus on the most important subject or action?
Is your work bogged down with modifiers?
Any clichés?
Music
Is your manuscript well paced as a whole?
Is your tone consistent and appropriate?
Are you rushing too fast through scenes with emotional heft?
Are you blathering on about information your audience would prefer to skip?
Do your sentences, paragraphs, and transitions flow well?
Is your writing repetitive?
Theme
How will your intended audience respond to your themes?
Are your themes consistent?
How controversial are your themes?
How clear are your themes?
How complex/nuanced are your themes?
Spectacle
Does the spectacle enhance the other elements?
What scenes make me say, "Whoa! Awesome!"?
